The European Commission stated that it will pursue an investigation of the safety of Apple iPhones and iPods after reports that a couple devices had exploded. Apple was said to be cooperating with the investigation and the the consumer protection commission.

The reports of the exploded iPhones and iPod came from both France and Britain. Apple was unable to provide more details of the incidents until further examination takes place.
